Widget settings reference
Template controls structure; coverage selects locations; rating filter limits eligible reviews; moderation respects display state; design controls visual presentation; rotation controls sequencing/timing where available. This control is covered by the Configure and publish Reviews Widgets workflow.
Embed and public behavior
Copy uses the saved widget identifier. The public route renders approved eligible reviews and required Google attribution; changes apply after save/publish.
Settings reference
| Setting | What it does | Default | Scope | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Template | Selects widget layout | Current default template | widget | Preview before publish. |
| Rating filter | Limits eligible ratings | All eligible ratings | widget | Choose 5 only for five-star-only output. |
| Coverage | Selects locations | Current location | group/location | Group coverage requires eligible child locations. |
Permissions and scope
- No Access hides or blocks the module. Read Only permits viewing but disables changes. Editor permits the documented create, edit, publish, or administrative actions within the user's assigned scope.
Mobile
- On narrow screens, open the sidebar or overflow menu to reach the same actions; labels and save behavior are unchanged unless this article says otherwise.
Published review rotation
This control is covered by the Configure and publish Reviews Widgets workflow.
Applies to /reviews-widget/:id
Google attribution
This control is covered by the Configure and publish Reviews Widgets workflow.
Applies to /reviews-widget/:id
What happens next
Your change is available within the scope you selected.
Warnings
- Google attribution must remain visible where required. Removing all eligible reviews can produce an empty widget.
Troubleshooting
- If only five-star reviews should appear, set the minimum/allowed rating to five and verify the chosen locations contain eligible reviews.
- An empty widget can mean no eligible reviews, moderation exclusions, wrong location coverage, or unpublished changes.
- For empty and unavailable states, verify the selected scope, access level, required connection, and displayed validation or freshness status; retry once after correcting the cause, then create a context-rich Support case if it continues.
